CIVIC LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE ISSUES “CALL TO ACTION”

CIVIC marks 25th anniversary by inducting Class of 2022 and addressing regional challenges

(NORFOLK, VA) More than 1,000 senior leaders have been issued a “call to action” to help address regional concerns and priorities, including resiliency, inclusivity, collaboration, and recovery from the pandemic.  CIVIC Leadership Institute marks its 25th anniversary by challenging its vast network of alumni and the incoming Class of 2022 to address these issues head-on.  The organization’s incoming class consists of 52 dynamic senior level leaders from across the 757 region.

“To tackle its challenges and priorities, Hampton Roads needs committed leaders ready to listen, learn, and act,” said CIVIC Leadership Institute’s President and CEO, Sarah Jane Kirkland. “Galvanizing that effort is exactly what CIVIC intends to do as we celebrate our 25th anniversary.  I can think of no better way to support our community and honor the legacy of our organization’s founders.”

As Hampton Roads grapples with a global pandemic and economic uncertainty, the Class of 2022 will take a “deep dive” into immediate, regional issues and determine ways it can best provide support.  A full roster of class members can be found by visiting https://civichr.org/executive-program/current-class/.

CIVIC Leadership Institute is the region’s premier leadership organization.  Based in Hampton Roads, Virginia, its mission is to connect executive leaders through service to improve life in the region.
