On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce our new President and CEO: Mary Kate Andris, Ed.D.
Mary Kate is a member of the Class of 2018, the first graduate to be tapped to lead CIVIC. She impressed us with her vision for the organization and her passion to lead CIVIC into its next phase of significance to the region.
Mary Kate most recently served as a Director in the Council Partnership Office at the Girl Scouts of the USA in New York, providing strategic guidance and coaching to more than 40 Council-level CEOs across the country. Previously, she served as President and CEO of the YWCA South Hampton Roads and she has held philanthropic posts at Virginia Wesleyan College and Eastern Virginia Medical School.
She also serves on the Virginia Council on Women and was an Inside Business Women in Business Honoree. She holds two degrees from Widener University: a Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education along with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Management from Moravian University.
We are delighted to welcome Mary Kate to CIVIC as she begins her work May 15.
